'The Chestnuts House' is an old stone house located at the mountain top of a 20 Dunam chestnuts forest, overlooking the magical Montedoglio Lake, Tebiriniano Valley and the Epeninis mountain Ridge.
You are welcomed to pick chestnuts from the trees around the house, the porcini mushrooms that grow under them, and get into the atmosphere of the Tuscan house, warm chestnuts on the fireplace in the living room, prepare porcini omelets and then dip in the Jacuzzi overlooking breathtaking view of the lake and the mountains in the horizon. In the house you will find wines from grapes that were raised in the area, and enjoy the wonderful mix of pampering modernism with magical Tuscan atmosphere.
Around the house is a natural forest that provides full privacy and allows a wonderful opportunity for walks, bike trails around the house and the close by lakes, or just relax on the swings or hammocks that are spread around the house area.
The house has another separate unit, which was added in 2010, that is built of wood yet still maintains the romantic old Tuscan character. This way you can travel with friends and be together in this experience while having privacy for each couple or family.
The center of the town Caprese Michelangelo is only one kilometer from the house. At the town center there are a few recommended restaurants, tennis club which is used by the tennis Italian national team and the birth house and Museum of Michelangelo himself.
